Character Background
Susan Foreman fits naturally into a value-oriented or midrange Doctor Who Commander plan, especially alongside the Doctor as a Doctor’s companion. Her 1/1 body is modest, but the real strength is utility: tapping for {G} gives you early ramp, helping you deploy your commander pair and keep mana open, while her planeswalk replacement effect smooths planar deck outcomes by letting you stack the top two cards before traveling. That makes her ideal in decks built to trigger planeswalking repeatedly, because she turns variance into selection and helps you steer toward favorable planes. In play, prioritize her as an early setup piece rather than a threat, and protect her if your deck depends on repeated planar manipulation. She pairs well with effects that untap creatures or reward extra land development, and any build that wants consistent access to the planar deck will appreciate the subtle card-selection she provides.
