Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Scientist Supreme of A.I.M. fits neatly into a blue-black value-control shell that wants to turn small artifact engines into repeated bursts of advantage. As a 2/2 for two mana, it comes down early and can threaten to snowball any artifact with a strong activated or triggered ability, especially in decks built around Thopters, Clues, Treasures, or utility artifacts with tap or ETB effects. The life payment is real, so the best builds will treat it as a precision tool rather than a grindy machine: copy a card-draw trigger, a token-making trigger, or a removal ability at the right moment and you can swing a turn without spending extra mana. Because it only works once each turn and only on your turn, it rewards tempo-minded planning and instant-speed setup through artifacts that trigger on your own actions. Pair it with artifacts whose abilities scale well when doubled, and protect it like a combo piece.
