Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Cursed Rack is a simple but nasty piece of old-school Magic design: a 4-mana artifact that quietly shackles one opponent to a smaller hand, pressuring their options without needing to attack or trade resources directly. It fits best in control or prison-style game plans, where you want to slow the game and let incremental advantage do the work. In practice, it is strongest against slow blue decks, combo shells that lean on card accumulation, or any opponent trying to sandbag answers. The symmetry is one-sided, so pairing it with discard, land destruction, or repeatable hand disruption makes the effect much more punishing, while your own deck should be built to spend cards efficiently so the four-card cap barely matters. It also rewards effects that force extra draw on the opponent, turning overflow into wasted resources and making every topdeck decision awkward for them.
