Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Augur of Autumn is a classic value engine for green decks that want to turn board presence into relentless card advantage, especially in midrange or creature-heavy ramp shells. On its own, the ability to play lands from the top of your library smooths draws and reduces flood, while the Coven clause turns a stable battlefield into a stream of discounted creatures once you control three creatures with different powers. That makes it especially strong in decks that naturally curve out with varied stats, such as tokens plus utility creatures, or builds using +1/+1 counters to vary power totals. A good deckbuilding tip is to pair it with top-of-library manipulation like shuffle effects and scry, so you can keep the best card on top and maximize the information from its first ability. In Innistrad’s uneasy harvest theme, it feels like a druid reading the season’s omens—quietly turning the future into immediate resources.
