Mana Clash
Oracle Text
You and target opponent each flip a coin. Mana Clash deals 1 damage to each player whose coin comes up tails. Repeat this process until both players' coins come up heads on the same flip.
Card Details
Mana CostCharacter Background
Mana Clash is classic red chaos: a one-mana sorcery that turns a simple duel into a suspenseful race, with each failed flip pinging both players until the coins finally align. In practical terms, it best supports burn or tempo decks that want to squeeze damage out of a low investment while keeping pressure on the opponent’s life total. Because the damage can hit you too, it plays best when your deck is already ahead on board or has ways to profit from unpredictable life swings. A useful deckbuilding tip is to pair it with effects that care about repeated damage or low-cost spells, such as cards that trigger on players being dealt damage or that let you close games quickly after incremental chip damage. The flavor feels like reckless red magic at its most unstable: a gambler’s spell that can backfire, but in the right aggressive shell, the variance is part of the weapon.
